Most of his life, he has been making playful art objects with wheels and fanciful creatures with wings.  Ever since he was a child, he has been fascinated with things that have wheels and wings.  As the third child in the family, nearly all of his toys were hand-me-downs, things that he inherited that were, more often than not, broken or had missing parts.  Thus he developed his instinct and skills to repair whatever toys he received. “Toys are meant to be touched and played with”, says Ral.

He has created cars, jeepneys, carts, unicycles, bicycles, tricycles, motorcycles, airplanes, helicopters, outer space mobiles, tractors, cranes and many other things with wheels.  He has also made many other things with wings:  from simple dragonflies, bugs, praying mantises and beetles to alien-looking creatures that might fly.  He has also created a boat series that features simple sail boats as well as huge galleons. An important piece he produced was a 50-foot wooden boat at Jardin de Miramar in Antipolo which is now being enjoyed by both children and adults.

In past exhibitions, he has done a clock series, bull fighting series, Don Quixote series, salamander series, puppets, houses on stilts, balconies, watch towers, bird houses, and basketball goals.

In his Wheels & Wings Exhibition at Alliance Française’s Total Gallery, there are birds and bats which he calls acrobats, alien-looking birds which he calls "parang ibon" (bird-like) or "ibon sa parang" (bird in the field), as well as flying fish and other winged sea creatures: wonderful “toys” of brass, copper, and colored aluminum from printing plates, artistic “toys” that move or turn or rotate.  Come and play with these wonderful toys.  ENJOY!!
