Dance along as this Hip hop crew presents their newest energetic show

It all started in 1996-1997, when the dancers used to train in the street and under the arch of the Lyon Opera. After a few encounters, exchanges and thorough thoughts, the group of “breakers” created the Pockemon Crew in 1999. That year, they took part in their first battle in Grenoble.

Successive victories threw them on the international stage: French Champion in hip hop dance in August 2003, World Champion in October 2003, European Champion in July 2004. Today, the company is resident of the Lyon Opera.

But, the true identity of the Pockemon Crew is all about the energy they put in sharing their knowledge, their experience, through their dance,Image above all social or artistic clashes.

The company today gathers about 20 dancers. The creation as well as the transmission are the founding aspects of the company, which well intends to go beyond the fashions. Pockemon Crew is more about a collective of artists. Unity is above singularity or career opportunities. Also, smaller groups were built, such as the Smockemon (new generation of breakers), the Pockepop (standing dancers specialized in popping and smurf). Through their artwork and the force of a few dancers, they even created new tendencies. Dancers such as Lilou, Brahim or Rodolphe have invented new figures that are now referential on the North American hip hop scene.

Together, they stay strong in a pure line of hip hop, opening to different worlds, but always getting their inspiration from the street, where the hip hop is from.

In Manila, they will share the stage with Filipino All Stars hip hop group, at Mall of Asia, and at CCP.
